  • You are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Each individual may maintain only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or for deceptive purposes is prohibited.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service or engage in activity that is harmful to the platform or its users.

4. Endorsing Organizations

  • Organizations may register on ballot.watch to publish endorsements of candidates and ballot measures.
  • Organizations are required to provide accurate and truthful information about their identity, mission, and endorsement positions.
  • ballot.watch reviews organization registrations and may approve, reject, or suspend organizations at our discretion.
  • Endorsement content published by organizations reflects the views and positions of those organizations, not the views of ballot.watch.
  • We reserve the right to remove endorsements or organization profiles that contain misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive content.

5. Acceptable Use

When using ballot.watch, you agree to the following:

  • Use the platform for lawful civic purposes only.
  • Do not scrape, crawl, or bulk-download data from the platform without prior written permission.
  • Do not impersonate candidates, elected officials, government agencies, or organizations.
  • Do not post, submit, or distribute false or misleading election information.
  • Do not attempt to interfere with the platform's operation, including but not limited to introducing malware, overloading servers, or exploiting vulnerabilities.

6. Information Accuracy

We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date election information, but all information on ballot.watch is provided "as is" without guarantee of completeness or accuracy.

  • Always verify election information, including dates, deadlines, polling locations, and registration requirements, with your state or local election office.
  • Election dates, rules, candidates, and ballot measures may change after publication on our platform.
  • We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or outdated information that may appear on the platform.

7. Intellectual Property

  • The ballot.watch name, logo, website design, original content, and branding are the property of ballot.watch and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
  • Election data presented on the platform is sourced from public records, government databases, and publicly available information.
  • User-generated content, including organization profiles, endorsement statements, and other materials submitted by users, remains the intellectual property of the respective creator. By submitting content to ballot.watch, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on the platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

ballot.watch is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
